Duncan Davis of Breakout Capital presented The Venture Capital-backed Portfolio Company of the Year Award to AIM Clinics听which helps kids in Tier 2 & Tier 3 MSAs with autism through intensive Applied behavior analysis therapy.听 The company received Seed stage funding and two follow on rounds of funding from听. Breakout exited the company in 2021 at a 20x multiple of initial capital invested.

We then moved on to the Private Equity-Backed portfolio company of the year which was presented by Michael Langdon (which led the deal on behalf of Frontenac)to helps companies in all industries train their employees so they can safely and effectively perform their jobs.. The name refers to the 1933 World's Fair of Chicago, where the gathering focused on Chicago as the "World's Brightest Spot" for technological discovery. P33 seeks to regain that signature by 2033, the city's bicentennial, by bringing together Chicago's tech, business and civic communities to supercharge innovation and leadership for the Windy City by promoting/strengthening specific clusters of technologies and industries.

The luncheon emphasized the facts of the ACA, in association with the next phase. The morning presentations were divided between 17 companies raising Series A or later financing rounds as well as 15 companies raising angel and seed financing rounds.
